Preceptor Information

Preceptors attending the conference have a great opportunity to contribute as a moderator or evaluator. All preceptors are needed and encouraged to volunteer, with a minimum requirement of each program having at least one preceptor in attendance as a volunteer.

What is the difference between an evaluator and a moderator at SERC?
Evaluators attend the presentation, gather evaluation forms and provide the presenter feedback immediately after their presentation. Moderators introduce the speaker, assure that the session stays on time and overall facilitation of each session.

No

Can I designate a day, time or specialty to moderate or evaluate a session?
Yes, please include any special requests, including preference to moderate or evaluate a session when you submit your name.

Will I be scheduled to moderate or evaluate during my residents presentation?
The schedule is arranged so you are able to attend your resident’s session.

What if I commit and my plans change?
We understand. Please let us know if you are able to find a replacement. Either way, please describing the change in advance of the conference.
